Nancy J. Konwinski, 72, a resident of Armada Township for 35 years and formerly from Mount Clemens, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Village Rehab and Care Center in Armada.
Nancy was born July 7, 1942 in Rochester, Michigan, the daughter of Alva Maine and Irene (Coulter) Henderson. Nancy worked as a seamstress for many years at Van Epoch Van conversion company in Romeo and formerly worked as a seamstress for Ford Motor Company. Nancy enjoyed going to church at the Cross Community Church in Bruce Township and loved to play bingo.
Nancy is survived by her husband Dennis; children Dale Roughton of Memphis, Michigan, Lisa (Mike) Chambers of Clinton Township and Mark Konwinski, also of Clinton Township. Grandchildren include Pauline, Kayla, Sydney and Nolan, along with great-grandchildren Lucas and Lillian. Siblings include her two sisters, Onalee Young and Kathy (Richard) Knoll, both of Lapeer. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charlene Avenall.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo. Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 25, at Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer with Pastor Chet Decker officiating.
